Driving from my house in Kirkwood Missouri to work one morning, I decided to take the long way, exploring roads I had not been on. In residential area, I came over a hill to find this owl in the road. She could barely fly to the curb, so I whispered to her that I would help her. I put my coat around her and she sat on my lap several miles back to the house. I later realized this could’ve been a very dumb mistake, but she seemed to rather enjoy it. I took her to the Wild Bird Sanctuary eventually.
